"Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness." Psalm 96:9
Each week our community gathers to celebrate what God has done for us - to offer "a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving". Worship at Christ Church is intended for the honor and glory of God and to provide opportunities to hear and learn from the Word of God.We meet on Sundays at 11:15 am at The Christ Center, 12th and Bookcliff, Grand Junction
Our meetings consist of a worship and Eucharist service from the Anglican Prayer Book followed by fellowship coffee time.

Joshua 24:14 "Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. . . choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve . . . as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Isaiah 40:3 "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God."
Zechariah 4:6 "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.
Matthew: 14 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

"Almighty God our heavenly Father, whose Son came to set the earth on fire; Grant that as we faithfully seek You in worship, prayer and Bible study, a fire of burning enthusiasm for Your glory may be kindled amongst us, pass from heart to heart and congregation to congregation, until all our hardness is melted in the warmth of Your love and truth; through him who loved us and gave himself for us, Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." based on Luke 12:49
We are joined in prayer for Christ Church Anglican, for discernment, asking the Lord to provide us with a ministry and mission focus.

The Anglican Mission in the Americas
The Anglican Mission began in August 2000 as a missionary outreach of the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. We are an integral part of an historic, world-wide, missionary movement focused on worship, making disciples of Jesus Christ, and outreach. As Anglicans, we not only enjoy a unique connection to our African brothers and sisters in Christ, we belong to a global family of some 77 million Christians in 164 countries across the world.
Why a new missionary movement in the United States? Christianity is experiencing a dynamic renewal and expansion in many other parts of the world, including Africa, South America, and Asia. The Anglican Mission is catching this wave of the Spirit with a sincere desire to see revival in our country and in this generation. For this reason, the Anglican Mission exists to glorify God by gathering, planting, serving, growing, and multiplying dynamic local churches in the Anglican tradition that love Jesus Christ and reach out to the world He died to save (John 3:16-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:14-47). We are compelled by the Spirit to extend the kingdom of God by reaching out from coast to coast to proclaim the Gospel and make faithful, fruitful, and fulfilled disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Anglican Mission in the Americas (AMiA) serves as a missionary outreach of the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, under the authority of the Provincial Synod, The House of Bishops, and the Archbishop of the Province, as stipulated by the Constitution of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. The Anglican Mission was established in response to what a group of orthodox clergy and leaders from the United States described in 1999 as a severe “crisis of faith and leadership” within the Episcopal Church, USA.

Mathew Henry's Concise Commentaries
]]>
We believe that Christ has called His followers to action in the world - to show His face to others by ministering to those in need. Our mission focus echos the Trinity and the essential elements of Christian faith - the Sacred, the Scripture, and the Spirit -
We are in mission to the Church. “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship . . . they gave to anyone as he had need.” Acts 2:42
We are in mission to our community "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son . . .” John 3:16
We are in mission to the world “. . . you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8
The Lord has blessed us with the opportunity of supporting Christ Church Anglican - Vail as a mission to the people in the Eagle Valley!
